The process at a glance
From submission to launch usually takes nine to eighteen months, depending on how much editing the manuscript needs.
Step 1: Submission
Send us a short synopsis, a sample of your manuscript and a few words about yourself through the submission form.
Step 2: Editorial review
Our editors read every submission. If the sample interests us, we ask for the full manuscript. Expect a reply within eight to twelve weeks.
Step 3: Contract
If we would like to publish your book, we offer a contract covering rights, royalties and timelines, and talk it through with you.
Step 4: Editing
You work with an editor on structural and line edits, followed by copy-editing and proofreading. You approve every change.
Step 5: Design and production
Our designers create the cover and interior. We handle ISBN, typesetting, printing and ebook conversion.
Step 6: Launch
We announce the book, send review copies, organise events and make it available on our site and through bookshops.
